February unveils Antarctica’s most dynamic season, alive with wildlife and glowing polar light.
In February, Antarctica comes alive with movement, sound, and striking contrasts of ice and sea. As your yacht glides through sculpted channels, humpback whales may breach nearby while seals rest across sunlit floes. Penguin colonies buzz with activity as chicks test the water and adults begin their annual molt, feathers dotting the shoreline. Leopard seals patrol the shallows, and curious minke whales often surface beside Zodiacs during daily excursions. With fewer ships in the region, each landing feels intimate and unhurried. Guided by expert expedition leaders, you’ll experience Antarctica at its most vivid and unforgettable.
