Cappadocia
Looking more like a landscape out of a fantasy movie, Cappadocia provides an unbelievable environment to hike and discover. Oludeniz
Cliffs dotted with verdant forests, white-sand beaches and turquoise waters make the inlet of Oludeniz an absolute paradise. Butterfly Valley
Another sanctuary close to Fethiye, Butterfly Valley gives you the chance to channel your inner flower child and become one with nature. Turkey’s government dubbed it a preservation area to protect the butterflies for which it’s named and the local flora. The Rock Bar in the area offers hammocks, campfires and music to add to the region’s ambience.
Canakkale
History and mythology become one when you make a trek to Canakkale. Here you can explore the ruins of Troy, a city so famous for its epic battle, it has sparked the imagination for generations and continues to inspire stories. You will also find the battlefields of the Gallipoli Campaign. This World War I site contains a ambience that calls for reflection.
Bozcaada Island
The third-largest island of the country is quite possibly its most beautiful. Also known as Tenedos, Bozcaada is best known for its windmills, vineyards and wineries. White, sandy beaches against the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea tempt any traveler looking for a moment to discover a quieter adventure. It’s one of the most popular snorkeling spots in the country.
Pergamon
The ancient remnants of Pergamon (also called Pergamum) call out to every explorer. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, these ruins of old tell stories of a past long gone, but never forgotten. The site’s crowning jewel, the Pergamon Altar, a monument to Zeus, impresses even the most seasoned traveler who thinks they have seen it all.
